Last spark from the ashes

It's a good thing Blaze keeps talking because what little color Nike had left in her face drains away to hear the Titan say she wants to terminate it. She can, of course. It's well within her rights. Everything is in Blaze's power. Nike has her immortality, all the sustenance she requires. And in return, Blaze has the demon's very soul. A bound servant is all Nike was ever supposed to be.

"It...you." Why is it so difficult for her to speak? "It can....be terminated." But through the leaden weight of her fear she latches on to that last bit. "I. I am proud to be your servant, Blaze." Don't leave, don't take this from her completely. But she struggles for the words to express the violent churn of emotion crashing over her in waves.

"I had thought....I..had a place here. A purpose."
