It's a problem he's sure Asgard will need to address in the coming years, integrating their ways with those of the humans, adjusting to more primitive technologies and alien customs in their new home. They will have to decide what is worth keeping, and preserve those traditions that still dwell at their core, but they cannot follow in the exact footsteps of their ancestors any longer.
Steve won't know who he was, where he came from. But if the essence of the man that Thor knew remains, he's damn well not going to be content leaving a mystery like this untouched.
