Blaze nods. "I think you made the right call. If you asked a while back maybe I'd have hoped the Cylons'd get some sense knocked into them here. Now I think they'd be just as likely to get the worst of themselves reinforced and blind themselves to the good. They're not yet ready for a place like this."

"It's all right, Adia." But Ghost drifts down in front of her, grateful for the concern. "I have my Guardian now. I can always take shelter inside her systems when I need to. And if it does snow, I have a hat to keep me warm. Well, we both do."

Blaze, meanwhile... Blaze hesitates. "I'm trying to understand where they're coming from. What kind of people you're dealing with, what's going on in their heads." She takes a moment to scan the street again. "They aren't Exos. I know that. Our creation's a parallel thread, not a shared one. But some things we ought to have in common. Maybe if they were combat models I'd be able to understand them better."

She shrugs, giving a shake of her head. "And yeah, I guess the situation feels more personal because they're machines. But I care about both sides in this." She finally looks back at Adia, optics brightening. "And the people who'd rather not have sides."
