It certainly looks a lot bigger than the moon, but then the moon is actually really far away so that's probably a good thing. Steve manages to pick his jaw up off the ground and shake his head to snap out of the awe induced trance he'd been in while staring at the Traveller. Having the view cut off definitely helps. He probably could have stood there all day.
