“She sounds like a great kid.” Blaze dares to look Hughes’ way, mouth quirking with the reflex of a smile. “Makes the fight all the more worthwhile, knowing who you’re doing it for.”

“And it’s another reason to get home safely,” the Ghost adds quietly. It almost sounds like a reminder.
