She learned how to be a friend with a god who has inadequacy issues and hasn't quite figured out that not everybody needs so much of this kind of attention.

"That's convenient." Nothing wrong with a military that doesn't enforce strict uniforms, in her opinion. It's not like the military where she's from is setting a shining example no matter how shining the brass. And more importantly, they seem to know what they and their fellows are doing. If it works for them, who would she be to tell them they're doing it wrong?
